Who Are You Really?

by Darcell Dann

Ghetto fabulous black queen or
High maintenance white dream,
Who are you really, my sweet?

Listen to the beat of the passion that thrives,
Look into your heart, that's where it lies.
Watch as my eyes awaken your soul,
The soul that your struggles and your shackled dreams stole.

Look inside with my eyes my sweet, use my eyes to look down deep.
There you will find who you really should be,
A flower just blossomed or pearls of awe,
A princess well-hid by the tears from within.

Listen to the beat of the passion that thrives,
Look into your heart and there you shall find,
Who you are really and who you should be
A queen all natural, A true gem indeed.
