The Lady and The Storm

by Corey T. Williams

As they lay
Sleepily
Coiled together
Lady MaGic
And Stormy Weather
Rested heads
On swollen
Feathered pillows
Smiling
As the wind blows across them.
See
You don't know Love
Like they know Love
Knowing how to stay above
The bullshit
And politics
Stupid tricks
And antics
That makes a situation unromantic.
There Love is tantric
Meaning theirs was mental
Before it was physical.
They talked about
Being experimental
How instrumental each would be
In realizing the fantasy
Of being together intimately.
They knew that bliss
Would come on a whim or a wish
The first kiss
Would probably make them miss
Or dismiss
Other relationships
That didn't stand up to this.
This Space
And Time
Right here
Right now
Wiping the sweat from her brow
The storm leaned over and told her.
I've waited for you all my life
I want to love you right
Love you like wife
I'd die on a knife
If it keeps you forever at my side.
Lady MaGic told the Storm
I'll keep you safe and warm
Hold you close to my heart
I want my life to depart
If you are not my ending
And my start.
Their shared a Lover's embrace
Tasted the nectar of each other's
Lifetimes
Bloodlines
Necessities
And intensities.
Immensely
And thoroughly
The storm made love to Lady MaGic
Their story doesn't have a drastic
Or tragic ending
Only a beginning
That they're up for defending.
