I have dated them young
I have dated them old
Some have been hot
Most have been cold
Some have been married
Too much guilt for me to carry
Some have been users
Others have been losers
Some called themselves players
But I could see through the layers
I don't quite know what I am doing wrong
But this has gone on for much too long
Where do I find a good black man
Is there one in America
Is there one on this land
