In every direction striking free

Showed the power of you
Boasted of your strengths
Disguised your fears
I looked at you and remembered
How confident you could be
How sensitive you pretended not

Your storm proclaimed
how wondrous you were
God's marvelous creation
His masterpiece theatre
His red, red carpet
His reflection;
moving His direction

How livid your love
Taking me down
Begging simplified truths
Breaking me wide
The scent of my tears
Cleansing  both spirits
Lifting labor, giving lamentations altitude

Please, please let me rest
Caught in your twister
Yet under the weather
