Our country tears of thee
Sweet land of misery
Who keep oppressing thee?
Land where my ancestors died
Being forced to work the land and rights denied
We got tired and decided to fight
Ms Rosa Parks set it off through civil rights
Stole from Africa
Shipped to America
Against our will
We will never forget our ancestors thrown off ships
Held in chains beaten and whipped
Tell me why I’m supposed to forget?
Here we are in 2007 still being shot down in the streets
We don’t own a lab and we don’t own planes
Yet all these drugs show up in our community
Enticed by the luxurious things we see result in us selling drugs to our people
Only to get busted and go to court in a two-tier system we have no control over
Let freedom ring
