In My Solace

by Anthony Bennett

I wake with the reverence of new life
My path set before me, by my own doing

The Dreams of past ecstasy lay dormit for now
I find solace in my quiet, in the noise of movement
around me. In the glances of people.
In the new sky born each day.

I find comfort in the children.
Sleep the sleep of Peace, for they count on me.
My life is in consent motion,
for they move my soul to do so.
Their need for knowledge, their trust in me

But my mind lends itself aimlessly
to the whims for new life, new hopes, new loves, new words;
words of my new Peace and Comfort.
Life is ever present in my solace,
But I wait, I wait for the Time when its Time is done.

Ever Reaching for Tomorrow, Every Growing each Day, Ever Climbing
Heaven Bound, In My Solace...
