Homeless Love

by Victoria Barklee

Once was bright and full of lights
Transformed to bitter cold nights

Once was shelter from the rains
Settled with cracks, heartaches, and pains

Once warmed with oozing heat from vents
Sleeping now with clippings of past events

Once a sunroom full of roses
Remodeled as a darkroom for poses

Once a castle of sweet retreat
Demolished now to a park bench seat

Once lived on a street called hope
Anyone live there now?.....nope!!
