We all know about the problems
There's about a million and one
Everyone talks about them
But nothing seems to get done

The problems with the schools
Where kids can't seem to learn
The problems with the teachers
Who are worth more than they earn

The problems with the judges
Who keep putting us in jail
The problems with the system
Who don't know why we fail

The problems with violent crime
Especially black on black
The problems with the felons
Who keep on coming back

The problems with corrections
Who don't prepare a man to leave
The problem with the staff
Who don't want a man to achieve

The problems with the parole board
Whose release rate is getting low
The problems with parolees
Who have no place to go

The problems with the families
Who know nothing of tough love
The problems with the money
That there's never enough of

Yeah, we all know the problems
And I've come to this conclusion
It's time we get together
and start working on solutions
