The Great Betrayal

by Arthurine Harris

Though we reach,
Reach for the skies
grab hold of the sun
weather the pain,
surrender to the beauty
of the heavens;
Noon, night falls and
shooting stars
slaughter, hurl
rising stars from their own horizon.

The (Son)rise shines with injustice.

NO INDICTMENT.

And so goes the tale
of the sky's betrayal.
