Seemingly, we all must possess this essential characteristic
Would it not be impartial to suggest that one be allowed to apply it or not
as one deemed fit?

Why is it that manners require one to eat salad with a salad fork?
Why is it that to be considered a lady with manners, she must sit, stand and
even behave within a perimeter previously entrenched?

Well, since this is the land of the free,
with freedom of speech, religion and press.

A lady should be accepted and considered a lady even when not behaving
within the established "guidelines"
And even when dining with distinguished persons,
It should be perfectly acceptable for one to eat salad with a spoon.
