Torn apart by circumstances

I am left wondering where the romance is.

What happened to the love we shared?

What happened to the time we both cared?

You left and went away.

I always thought you’d come back one day.

But you left, and stayed too long

I thought all hope was gone.

Of us getting back together.. didn’t seem like it would happen ever.

So I took a leap of faith and married someone of a different taste

The love seemed good

But I turned around and there you stood

And all the thoughts of my past reminded me of a love that didn’t last.

I cannot harbor the pain 

I can’t stay in the rain 

So I moved on

Now our love is officially 

Gone.
