Not Quite Clear

by Alena Harris

Looking confused and staring straight at the object.
Not quite making sense.
All parts there. It is all whole.
But still not quite clear.
Hard to distinguish.
Blurry, vague, convoluted.
Everyone else can make it out.
They attempt to explain it to me but I still can not see it.
It is frustrating and makes my head hurt from trying to figure it out.
I can not see it.
And it does not matter how many times it is described to me.
It does not matter how hard I squint
or how hard I try to see it from your perspective.
I just can not see it.
Maybe I need to start wearing glasses.
