A Requiem For The Children Of War, Magic Charms And Strong Mojos In Africa

by Peter Addo

Sadly they survivors found out they don’t work ,
As weapons of war not even for oil or diamond and gold
The charms from a leaf over the head and a salve from head to foot
As protection from knives and machetes , guns and even bullets for the young.
Forced to carry them in pockets and under the hats and over the head.
Only to learn their worthlessness when the bullets rained to kill their mates.
So they blamed the fallen of past sins and deeds even in their death
No wonder the truth can only be told by the survivors
As they placed their future at the bend of the road and a stronger charm
Unaware the time to begin the future is now .

*******
Dedication:
To all the Children forced to fight Adult wars all over the world
and to rely on Charms as Supernatural Weapons of war.
