African Diaspora |
by Rev Peter Addo |
As your children depart your golden shores, Ancient and steeped in tradition To become aliens in foreign lands Your gods are forsaken, and your milk runs dry, To take your tongue away, for fluency in other languages Africa, mother Africa When will your children return to the land of their birth? Arrest our indifference; and inspire our hopes. Bring them back Mother Africa Bring them back. |
