The Closed Door

by A.B. Wilson

Behind the closed door it is very dark.

There is nothing but darkness.

No light shines.

There is very little to the sight.

It is cold and dreary.

You can only see darkness.

It is place to hide.

Nothing can enter from the outside.

There is just darkness.

A freedom of peace.

The door stays closed.

Nothing can get in.

The outside makes it even darker.

Behind the closed door there is complete safety.

The walls are dark.

They are not totally secure.

Exterior lights can't make it bright.

There is much to the exterior that obscures the view.

A view that is hard to see.

The closed door is completely dark.

A darkness that overwhelms the indecency.

A darkness that bring solitude.

Faith and hope.

The closed door is dark.

Outside the closed door in the light at times it is ever darker.
