Bitter and Brilliant Cold

by A.B. Wilson

It is bitter cold outside.

It truly makes me very strong.

The disgusting summer gave me a hard ride.

It makes me want to sing a cheerful song.

It is bitter cold.

I feel good.

I can stand up straight and not feel so old.

I will cover my head with a thick black hood.

The cold cuts through me like a sharp knife.

I walk along with peace of mind.

I can say I feel good about life.

I know I will not fall far behind.

The cold is brilliant, fresh, and clear.

The hot is wicked and real mean.

It causes me to step to the rear.

The cold makes me feel so clean.

All the frowns from the summer heat.

Turns to smiles in the bitter and brilliant cold.

I feel so nice and neat.

I know I can be bold.

I enjoy a bitter cold day.

I know I will get to a great start.

There are no obstacles in my way.

The bitter and brilliant will help me to be real smart.
