A Poem of Pageantry

by abbya

The girl who declined to love regardless of my striking pageantry
With long verses and whimsical songs blazing the face of the heavens;
She listened with face like an angel with a courier for the anointed
She smiled and spoke a beautiful nothing, a salient incredulity,
And with her lovely coat she brushed off my poems of her pageantry.
