Encased in unique blackness
Proud and strong
Working tireless
To bring forth awareness in poem

People of color education is the key
Lift up your fellow brother
On your back for him to see
Through selfless acts we tear down one another

Let’s build a better community
Safer, cleaner streets
Especially for the elderly
Fore they have spent their time in the heat

Young minds being wasted on electronic game play
While disgusted teachers have to fight
For equal or better pay
Look into the light

What does the future hold for all of mankind?
My thoughts are bleak
As we are running out of time
To awaken to the truth we seek
