Thin Ice

by 144Play

Tell me, what will it take to hold your attention tight
My imagination is running into roadblocks
Are you willing to help me to regain my sight?
Spontaneous imagery needed to restock
To create that mystical flow of poetry
Caressing even those primitive minds
Are you with me?
Causing some to be intrigued by the flow
They stand closer to my spoken web
Entangling their interest no matter how low
Waiting to be fed
Enriching their minds with knowledge
Of interpreting written verbiage
Learned not through college
But through life’s experiences
Majestic visions captured, my love alternative
Stored on thin ice, behind locked fences
Until the ice cracks from all of the weight held captive
Falling into the chilled water
Words frozen in a peaceful state
Trying to thaw
To one day be released or possibly escape
Onto an artist’s canvas, for all
Release me!
