Mental Shackles

by 144Play

Once upon a time
During the old days, practicing the old ways
Someone took the time to dream a little
Partaking on a painstaking journey
Of releasing mental shackles
Shackles placed upon thyself
Wishing
That in another world
We would be free
Free
I mean truly free
To express our feelings
Not like in the old days
Held captive
Shackled by our lack of knowledge
This journey was quite long
As he dreamt endlessly
To one day wake up in this wonderland
Where thinking out loud would be free
Endless expression
He passed this dream on to future ancestors
Each one teach one
Is how it was passed
Now lurking out of the shadows
Comes the enemy
His name you wonder?
Ignorance
For it is ignorance that has shackled his dream
How do we defeat this enemy?
Simple
Increase your knowledge to increase your mental capacity
Use only positive reasoning
Then you will see as the shackles fall off to the wayside
