Irony

by 144Play

Here I sit searching
As we sail
Off to distant lands to show our might
While our homeland is being invaded
With guns and drugs
Born of foreign lands
When was the last time you saw the coca plant
grown on some U.S. farm?
Yet the chief players
With all the intelligence
Watch the invasion and destruction
Of my home-front
They know the names of the distributors
Not the small time distributors on your street corner
Satellites can see you pick your nose anywhere in the world
Yet our intelligence can not stop this flow
You can help
Some of you may have heard about my dream
You know the one that was Cracked
Shattered
Like Spike, I was Bamboozled
I hope you got the intended message
Irony
Intelligence
In the world today
The United States is considered the premier peacekeeper
Our ability to obtain intelligence before it happens each day
Though this day (October 12th) must have been a sleeper
Reports state we knew
Yet the USS Cole became a victim of terrorism
Was the information passed only to a few?
Shipmates never forgotten
Rest in peace
Irony
Peacekeepers
Intelligence
